Well, it's a relief to be out of school, isn't it? I don't know about the rest of you, but I plan on spending this winter break after Christmas relaxing at home as well as spending much more time than I have available during the year with Vanessa. (I'd also like to work out exactly how I burned through $100 in the last forty-eight hours, but that's not really in the Christmas spirit, is it?) I'd also like to thank everyone who came yesterday, as well as mildly castigate those who failed to provide a justification for their absence. Tsk tsk. I think the party went well, and I especially like the wonderful watch Vanessa gave me (and not a gift of an entirely different ilk, as some—Robbie—are wont to suspect). Regardless, may this holiday season find you and the clichéd "yours" well (not that you shouldn't be well the other eleven months of the year). Happy whatever.

(For those of you playing along at home, Pacific time is three hours behind Eastern time. So it's 1:30 AM back home, which, curiously, is where my biological clock is still tuned. But still I sit up, slaving over this plog for your enjoyment. Thank me later. [Editor's Note: Now -- that is, August -- would be good.]) And, unfortunately, the steady drone of the plane's engines means that Rick Wakeman and the London Symphony Orchestra sound decidedly out of tune. Finally, adding insult to injury

UNDER CONSTRUCTION (Translation: I didn't feel like finishing it.)

Intro: Come one, come all!
Hello, and welcome to you all! Come one, come all, the anonymous, faceless community of my LiveJournal friends, and, quite possibly, random stalkers! Welcome, welcome! Welcome to what I hope become the extremely (though I'll settle for mildly) interesting and amusing travel journal of Michael's misadventures in the great province of British Columbia, Canada. Who knows what may happen? (Not me, that's for sure.) Indeed, it will all (well, at least the bits that I feel comfortable about having the whole bloody world read) be here, in my plog! (Er, that would be the pen-and-paper blog, since my mother has decided it would be nice to cut me off from the outside world for two weeks.)
Editor's Note: I had a bit here about how I needed to sharpen my poison-pen skills, but it made me sound like a really mean old bastard. So I took it out. Enjoy!

Editor's Note: Enjoy this while you can, because within 24 hours I'll decide that this is a piece of shit and rewrite it completely. I thought you guys deserved a heads-up.

A quick dispatch to let you all know that I will completely unavailable basically until the start of band camp. See, my parents are taking all of us on this little thing called a vacation, where we get to spend two weeks in British Columbia. Yay. Anyway, I may me able to check my web e-mail (it's the one displayed on my user info, not the one you probably know), but don't count on it.

If all goes well, I may actually be dedicated enough to get some write-up of this on here.
I've been listening to the new Air America (that's liberal talk radio) station broadcasting out of Miami (940 AM if you care to tune in; the signal's rather weak where I am though). And I've discovered something about myself.

I really don't like talk radio.

Then again, I'd probably like Limbaugh & Co. a thousand times less, but there you go.

Editor's Note: If you really actually want to listen to it, it's probably best to use the live stream on the Air America website.
